Once upon a time ……….. do many stories begin like this and they are the ones who throw us in the deep end, not knowing which way is up. Oh!!! did I get caught in that web…..
You meet someone and WOW, christmas has come again. We just naturally think this person has all the skills in the world and they will look after me. A feeling of safety..( we all want it, guaranteed even.)
Who are YOU. You are that really nice person who trusts everyone, until someone hurts you and you dislike them instantly and many others because of that one experience. We (I used to) combine love with skills. Love is a feeling of great and immense warmth and joy (hard to describe) and a desire to look after the person you love. Skill is how well someone can manage a job or a process or how well they can look after you.
Love has a magic intention, but skill sometimes brings our love to a halt and we don’t know why. Because a person is not skilled at speaking nice to you, even though you think he or she is wonderful, they maybe not aware of how to do that. We make an assumption that they know how to treat you, but we come from different back grounds. Teach each other.
