Everyone want self-esteem but many people are not game enough to trust it, therefore it’s a catch 22. When do I trust anybody enough to have self-esteem. The real thing is do we trust ourselves,……..so how do we do that.
When do we allow ourselves to feel good, when no one is there or our friends are there. It’s all good. Let’s try it. Can you find a time you once felt safe, maybe along time ago. Remember that time you felt the smile, the joy, the fun, the one moment you notice someone happy with you. Think back to that time. Can you describe the feeling. Did it feel warm? did it feel safe,? did it feel free? did it feel alive? did it feel refreshing? there are so many feelings that could describe that moment. The idea is to picture it in your mind, or listen to the sounds, however you remember that moment. Make an effort to practise and practise that feeling so it reminds you that you are allowed to feel good. This is your self-esteem, the part that is allowed to be happy and feel ok with ones self. It is a feeling, and the feeling is yours. Keep the feeling, repect it and therefore respect yourself.
